Acrylics on Canvas

I now usually adopt the use of acrylics on unprimed canvas. A technique used by many American Abstract painters in the sixties. Unlike oils, no primer is required and it offers a different quality to the work.

The paint becomes a part of the canvas, rather than sitting on the prepared ground.
